Rise in serum amylase: Causes
Serum amylase rises in Acute pancreatitis.
Other causes are : ' SAM MUST MERRy '
- Serum Amylase
- Mesenteric infarction
- Upper gastrointestinal tract perforation
- Salivary gland inflammation
- Torsion of intra-abdominal viscus
- Macroamylasaemia
- Ectopic pregnancy
- Retroperitoneal haematoma
- Renal failure
