Did you know?

imageThe dry eyes and mouth results from the immunologically mediated destruction of lacrimal and salivary glands. If it occurs as an isolated disorder it is called the 'Sicca syndrome' (primary form) and when the symptoms occur in association with other autoimmune diseases like RA, SLE etc., it is called 'Secondary Sjogren syndrome' .
