Write down numbers from 40 downward, substracting 3,2,3 and 4 from the number placed above, i.e., 40-3=37, 37-2=35, 35-3=32 and 32-4=28. This will give us the temperature ranges. And, the terms Heat stroke, Heat exhaustion, Mild hypothermia and severe hypothermia can be added to these ranges as shown here. Thus, temperature >40 is heat stroke, 37-40 is exhaustion, 32-35 is mild hypothermia and 28-32 is severe hypothermia.
