Frequently Asked Questions - Troubleshooting

I get a 'You are missing some Flash content that should appear here' message.

'You are missing some Flash content that should appear here! Perhaps your browser cannot display it, or maybe it did not initialise correctly. Sorry, for the inconvenience.'

This notice appears on lifehugger pages containing 'flash' elements when there is no flash player installed on your system. A flash player is required to view podcasts, powerpoints and videos on lifehugger. Once any flash player is installed, the message will be replaced by the flash element/s available on the specific page. Get the latest version of the adobe flash player here.

I cannot add content; the editor panel appears blank.

If you are seeing no editor panel  (the long board with controls for adding styles like boldface, italics etc. to content) in the content creation form it is probably because you are using an old version of Internet Explorer to access Lifehugger.com. In most cases the editor panel will appear by simply 'Refresh'ing the page. If you're still having problems after following the above steps, please click here.
